Outstanding Grade 12 Female Students from Adama City Visit Adama Science and Technology University

On March 7, 2025, a group of Grade 12 female students from public schools in Adama City, who ranked in the top 10 during the first semester of the current academic year, visited various departments of Adama Science and Technology University. The visit was organized by the University’s Community Engagement Directorate and the Executive Office of Women and Social Affairs. Among the places they visited were the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center and the female students' dormitory.

 

During the visit, Ms. Sewenet Bora, the Executive Officer of the University’s Women and Social Affairs Office, explained that the purpose of the visit was to inspire the students and help them mentally prepare for university life, ensuring that the university environment would not feel unfamiliar when they eventually join higher learning institutions in the future.
Additionally, two female university students, from the second and the fifth year batches, shared their personal experiences about life and education at the university with the visitors.
The high school students expressed their appreciation for the visit and the program arranged for them. They shared that, if they are successful in the university entrance exams, they would consider Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) as their first choice.
