Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) convened a successful validation workshop for the research project entitled "Technology Need Assessment and Strategic Roadmap for the ICT, Trade, Transport and Environment sectors of Oromia Regional State" on May 2, 2025, at the Dire International Hotel in Adama, Ethiopia.

Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) and the Ethiopian Aviation University (EAU) have initiated high-level officials’ discussions on August 7, 2025 at the Ethiopian Aviation University, Addis Ababa. The meeting aimed to establish a strategic partnership across various areas of specializations, leveraging their respective strengths in academic excellence and aviation industry leadership.
The central agenda revolved around identifying concrete areas for collaboration that would benefit students, faculty, and ultimately contribute to Ethiopia's burgeoning aviation sector.
Both parties expressed enthusiasm for the potential synergy. This partnership is believed to bridge the gap between academia and the Ethiopian Aviation industry.
The discussions are expected to culminate in the signing of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future, formalizing the framework for these collaborative initiatives and setting a roadmap for the practical implementation.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing educational quality and practical relevance in the Ethiopian Aviation sector, aiming to create a highly skilled workforce ready to contribute to the nation's economic growth and its position as an aviation hub.
