ASTU has organized a successful capacity building training in collaboration with Education and Training Authority (ETA). The participants of the training include top management of the university, middle management members, and department heads.
ASTU has signed MoU with the Manufacturing Industry Development Institute (MIDI) to realize the university-industry linkage at a ceremony held at kaizen Excellence Center in Addis Ababa. On the occasion, Dr. Lemi Guta, the president of ASTU, underlined that the main mission given to ASTU is to support the manufacturing industries and enhance the productivity of the country. Thus today’s agreement is a further step towards achieving that mission.
ASTU links MoU with Africa to Silicon Valley (A2SV). A2SV is organization that aims to discover, develop, and empower the future of African tech talent. It offers a comprehensive program that covers algorithms, problem-solving, software engineering, and soft skills, equipping students for opportunities at A2SV’s partner top tech companies by improving their problem-solving skills, communication skills, and personal growth.
The delegation of ministry of Innovation and Technology (MiNT) led by the Minister, Dr. BeleteMola visited ASTU. During the welcoming ceremony, Dr. LemiGuta, stated that ASTU is working its level to achieve its vision and missions.
Cities Alliance is ‘a global partnership fighting urban poverty and supporting cities to deliver sustainable development. Its mission is to ‘enhance the well-being of urban populations by delivering innovative, multi-sectoral solutions to urban poverty.
The construction of the multipurpose hall took several years. After the previous contractor abandoned the construction, ASTU was forced to take the case to the court. The legal procedure took a couple of years to settle.
