KOICA (Korean International Cooperation Agency), which has a history of cooperation mainly in the ICT sector, held discussion with ASTU officials on ways of enhancing the teaching, research, and application capacity of the university. During the discussion, documents highlighting the status and current work activities of ASTU have been presented. Dr. Alemu Disasa, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer, and Dr. Solomon Tiruneh, Vice President of Administration and Student Affairs responded to queries from the KOICA delegation.
Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) successfully completed the community service project titled “The Status of Quality Education in Government Primary Schools of Adama City”. The study was sponsored by the university and experienced researchers in the field were involved. Participants representing diverse stakeholders including Oromia education bureau, Oromia regional government president office, Oromia planning commission, woreda and city level education bureau officials were invited on the validation workshop held at Naflet Hotel in Adama on January 4, 2024.
Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) successfully commenced the consultancy project titled "Development of a Geospatial Database for the Manufacturing Industries of Sheger City" at a kickoff workshop held at Naflet Hotel in Adama on January 2, 2024. This project follows the successful completion of a similar database development for Adama, Mojo, and Bishoftu Cities, which was formally handed over at the same event.

በዛሬዉ ዕለት በአዳማ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሊጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ መዝናኛ ክበብ በቡና ጠጡ ዝግጅት የተከናወነ ሲሆን ፕሮግራሙ በነገው እለትም በማስ ስፖርት አጓጊ ዉድድሮች እና በልዩ ልዩ ዝግጅቶች ደምቆ ይቀጥላል፡፡ የቡና ጠጡ ፕሮግራሙ በተለያዩ ሁለት ቦታዎች የተካሄደ ሲሆን የዩኒቨርሲቲው ሠራተኞች በመዝናኛ ክበብ እንዲሁም ተማሪዎች በአንፊ የመዝናኛ ሰፍራ አክብረውታል ፡፡
The University-Industry Linkage and Technology Transfer Directorate organized the training in collaboration with the Ethiopian intellectual property authority. The training is given on patent drafting and patent information search to attain the university`s goal of applying for patent right registration.
The training is organized for female academic staff members. Dr. Alemu Disasa, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer, who opened the training at Borati Hall, recalled that the Gender Affairs Directorate has picked an important issue to encourage women's participation. He stressed that there is a need to boost the participation of female academic staff through different mechanisms.
